Day 22 - Photos - Otago Peninsula

A good selection today, at least I think so. :)

1st up a view across the bay. I think I'm riding towards those low clouds...

Yep, guess so:

Of course, once you get above the cloud band, you get some fascinating views

They didn't last though, by the time I'd toured Larnach Castle the view was more like this (still beautiful, just cloudless :) )

Some of the garden settings are really cleverly designed to frame and include the longer view.

One last bragging shot. Woot!

The albatross centre had a live cam trained on the 500th chick since they started monitoring. Note the trap in the upper left hand corner; it would be a stoat or ferret trap and every nest in the colony gets one as part of the conservation effort.

Young seals having a play in/around a rock pool. I was behind a barrier that allowed the visitors to get close without interfering or being overly noticeable (the exterior was camouflaged to blend in with the rock face)

A view from the coastal road as I was riding back to the hotel.

I spent a fair chunk of last week reviewing short OAVs: Dominion Tank Police, Ruin Explorers, Gunsmith Cats, and Sakura Wars. I also discovered…

I actually got up early enough today to ride with the Canberra Mob. A nice ride in company around the east basin of Lake Burley Griffin. Felt good.
