I have the e-arc of A Rising Thunder (the next Honor Harrington). I'll also be writing a review of Rayearth Season 2 later today.

Ooh, and music detection has started working in Semagic again!

Cool! M is really into them and is listening to them now. If you hear anything about the audio version of this I would love to hear it so I can get it for them.

Alas it may be some time - the hardcover won't be out until March and I don't know what the delay from there to the audio version is.

And now that I think about it, in some respects the audio version may be better. My reasoning is that sometime around War of Honor David Weber had an accident that damaged his wrist.

Since then a large chunk of his work has been dictated using Dragon or some such. As such the audio version may be closer to the creation.

Thwt is intereting about the audio version, although sad about he wrist. Sometimes when you dictate something it comes out slightly differently than written. I often read academic writings aloud to make sure it makes sense and the meter is right.

For a while it was coming out VERY differently. I think it most of the reason why War of Honor was so bloated, although he's been tightening up a lot since.

(The rest of the bloat was transitioning from Honor-as-plucky-ship-commander to Honor-as-major-political-figure, a necessary but difficult change to the series).

I just read aloud your post to Mikey, and he thought it interesting too.

Did you read my mini (and hopefully spoiler free) review to him? :)
