The Great Decluttering
14th-Jan-2011 12:19 pm

Currently I STILL have archive boxes and bags of rubbish that will take weeks to feed through the non-recycling trash in my bedroom.

I also cannot remember the last time my bedroom and wardrobe was this tidy. Clearly it is time to move on to other rooms in the house...

De-cluttering must be catching. I have spent all my holidays tidying out spare rooms, suitcases and cupboards. Still seem to have bizarre abouts of stuff, however.

How are you? It's been a while since we've been in contact.

Either the decluttering is contagious or red braids has been inspiring both of us. :)

Dear John

I've been on school holidays, so I've been taking advantage of the time off to do all the tidying I never have time for during the year. But I think that it is also a function of our age as well. Margaret Watts says that you spend the first 40 years of your life accumulating stuff and then the next 40 trying to get rid of it.

I have been enjoying teaching at All Saints, where Genevieve also goes. I was a bit sick for large chunks of last year, but perked up just in time for Worldcon. How much did I enjoy Melbourne, oh and the Con of course!

Other than that, life pootles along, occasionally broken by Jason's rellies coming for a visit, or us going over to England for some 'brisk weather'.

Yours liz
