The closest corner to where I live seems to be a trouble magnet. Earlier this week I came across a cyclist trying to change her very first flat tyre in the dark, and not really knowing what to do. This afternoon a motorcyclist had run out of petrol and he needed to know where the nearest service station was.
Fortunately I was walking past and able to help both times: a lit garage, the right tools, and some tutoring for the cyclist, and pulling up a street map on the iPhone for the motorcyclist. I wonder who I'll find there next time?
