The next game went somewhat better
26th-Apr-2010 03:11 pm

The second game from Saturday: A Snipe and a DH4 vs a DR7 and a Roland. Two balloons, and rockets on the two seaters.

From the allied end:

From the Central Powers end:

The DH4 managed a successful rocket launch off AND survived colliding with the balloon as it exploded.

The Roland ran afoul of the Snipe, and the DR7 took too much broadside damage from the DH4.

A much better game for me this time. :)

Just to make the sequence clear with the DH4 and the balloons:

DH4 Stalls, launches rockets.

DH4 flies straight, collides with balloon. That would be a C card each to the DH4.

The rockets hit the balloon. That would be two D cards to the balloon.

Balloon goes BANG (I was seeing a lot of explosion cards on saturday).

DH4 is overlapping (see earlier comment re collision) at the same altitude (see above) an exploding balloon. That would be two A cards to the DH4.

DH4 flies away with pieces of balloon trailing from the wings and no other observable effects...

I got LUCKY. :)
