There are times and places for putting the hammer down, for when trying to keep up with another cyclist for a chat or to get a better work out is appropriate.
There are also times when it is entirely inappropriate, and Treadly has summed these up nicely.
Besides, who wants to get to work that fast anyway? I'd much rather enjoy the ride and the view for longer. :)
And I don't want a race either.
