  • 19:20 @cheshirenoir once is an accident, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action... #
  • 00:04 @cheshirenoir Ah the fine Shakespearian tradition of anachronisms (Clocks in "Julius Caesar"). :) #
  • 11:03 @DannyDangerOz And as we all know features cost extra... #
  • 12:32 I don't have my wet weather riding gear today. You may now begin to mock me. :) #
  • 15:13 @DannyDangerOz Congratulations! #
  • 15:15 Wrong on so many levels and I don't want to where to find them: RT @angriest Chicken curry doughnuts. #weirdmelbourne #
  • 15:34 Came home early to prep for pest/bug spraying organised by housemates only to find it has been cancelled. :( #
  • 17:11 I have used the opportunity to replace a dead harddrive in my old dead laptop. #
  • 17:14 Now it's a mostly dead laptop that I hope to revive using Ubuntu with @DannyDangerOz starring as Miracle Max. :) #
  • 17:55 @cheshirenoir I'm going to experiment with the old laptop first. If all is well I'll look at shifting the new one across. #
  • 17:56 Is there a Linux version of iTunes or would I need to keep a dual boot setup? #
  • 18:18 @cheshirenoir Good to know. Especially since I'm really not much of a techie. #
  • 18:19 Although I make a reasonable facsimile OF a techie where I work... #

No, I don't think there's a linux version of itunes. Not official anyway.

There are (apparently) equivalent apps which will load/charge yon iPod and a windows emulator that will handle iTunes.

The latter is (in a half-arsed sort of a way) a back up strategy as the iPhone doesn't keep its contacts on the sim card and backs them up to Outlook...thus giving me two devices with the contacts.
