As a bunch of cyclists have just discovered, being noticed can be a bad thing sometimes.

There also appears to be an alternative interpretation of events that I thought was, ah,interesting.

Also on the subject here's some less than helpful advice. Look, I'm not a roadie, nor will I ever be any kind of racer, but at the elite (eg olympic) levels pack riding is an essential skill that requires training and practice.

Something worse may be in store: civil actions to recover the damages to the bikes. That could quickly run to $100K or more...

Also I think it needs to be clear that most motorists are pretty good... and the truck driver was by all accounts superb.

Yeah, as a driver there's millions others out there... and only a few of us that need beating to death with a stick.
:-)
But there's always one....

I don't blame drivers, I just blame the person who did something stupid, using his car as a weapon. He could have just muttered under his breath and kept driving. I don't quite believe this "my car stalled, the engine 'popped' between gas and petrol" line.
